FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College picked up an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) wrestling victory at home over Southern Virginia University, winning 45-6 tonight at Swartz Gym.

Zach Beckner (125 lbs) started the night off with a bang, earning a tech fall at the 5:11 mark.
Trent Proctor (133) and
Josiah Canales (141) each followed with pins to push the Panther lead to 17-0.
Cameron Curva (149) picked up his 22nd win of the season with a 16-1 tech fall, then
Joseph Olalde (157) rolled through a lightning-fast tech fall in just 1:47 to make it a 27-0 match.
Tyson Hoopes scored the only Southern Virginia points of the night when he earned a pin at 165 pounds.
Joseph Toner (184) stopped the Knights' momentum, picking up a pin, then
Sam Slate (197) earned a hard-fought 8-4 decision.
Rayshawn Dixon (285) closed things out with a 16-1 tech fall to earn his 23rd win this season. Dixon remains ranked No. 2 in the NWCA coaches poll and The Open Mat rankings.
