Bishop Has Record Day In Win

FERRUM, Virginia - The Ferrum College lacrosse team picked up the first win of the season, 20-0, against Trinity Washington. Ashtyn Bishop led the Panthers with 8 points, including a school record 7 assists. Bishop's 7 assists ties a school record that is shared with four previous Panthers.Sophomore Maggie Cass was the second leading scorer with 6 points, including 4 assists and 2 goals.

THE BASICS
Ferrum opened an 11-0 lead after one quarter and never looked back in earning first year Head Coach Carly Coyle's first career win. Freshman Lana Barkovic and sophomore Caroline Moore each scored 4 goals to pace the Panthers. Ten different Panthers scored on the day including sophomore Micaiyah Dickerson who netted three goals. 

Ferrum outshot Trinity 24 to 3 and held a 16-7 advantage on draw controls. Freshman goalie Cayden West recorded 3 saves. The game was ended after three quarters.
