FERRUM, Virginia – The Ferrum College women's lacrosse team lost 9-7 to Emory & Henry College. Ferrum built a 6-2 lead before the Wasps went on a 7-1 run to end the game.

THE BASICS
Both teams started out slow and despite 17 turnovers to Emory & Henrys 14 turnovers, the Panthers led at halftime 3-2. Ferrum came out strong in the third quarter scoring three goals to lead 6-2 when Ashtyn Bishop found the back of the net on an assist by Miciyah Dickerson. Heading into the fourth quarter, Ferrum led 7-5 but Wasps scored two goals in the first five minutes to even the score.  They tacked on two more goals and Ferrum was unable to convert on their opportunities.
Dickerson led Ferrum with 3 points (1G, 2 A). Lana Barkovic and Maggie Cass each scored two goals.
