THOMASVILLE, North Carolina - The Ferrum College men's golf team competed in the Falcon Shootout at Colonial Country Club in Thomasville, North Carolina. The Panthers had a strong second day of competition and moved up from sixth place to finish in a tie for third place.
Brandon Jones led Ferrum with a second round 74, finishing tied for 11
th place.
Tiaan Diedericks posted the best individual score of the field in the second round, coming in with a three below par 68. He showed a lot of grit bouncing back from a tough first round. Diedericks finished tied for 14
th overall, moving up forty-one spots from day one.
Clayton Gilmore finished tied for 19
th with a two day total of 155.
Ferrum will be back in action April 7-8
th at the Moselem Cup in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania.
