FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped a heartbreaking Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's tennis match to visiting Hollins University, falling 4-3 at Burrows-Skeens Tennis Courts.

THE BASICS
Prior to the match, the Panthers held a Senior Day ceremony for graduating players Hannah Huffman and Gabby Mendoza.

Mendoza and Madison Cox opened the day with a 6-0 win over Arabella Crookshanks and Zilina Robinson at #2 doubles, but Hollins grabbed the doubles point by virtue of a win at #1 and a forfeit at #3.

Huffman, Skylar Honeycutt and Mendoza each picked up wins at #2-4 singles, respectively, but Hollins earned a win at #1 singles and accepted forfeits in the #5 and #6 singles spots to earn its first win of the season.
