FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College's women's tennis team split a doubleheader at home to close out the 2025 season this afternoon at Burrows-Skeens Tennis Courts. The Panthers fell 6-0 to Bridgewater College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action, then beat Southwest Virginia Community College 5-0 in non-conference play.

THE BASICS
Bridgewater earned wins at #1-2 doubles and accepted a forfeit in the #3 spot. The Eagles then won at #1-4 singles and grabbed a forfeit win at #5 to close out the match and earn their first ODAC win of the season.

Hannah Huffman and Gabby Mendoza defeated Southwest Virginia CC's Angela Kiesel and Madison Casey 6-0 at #1 doubles and the Panthers accepted a forfeit in the #2 spot to grab a 1-0 lead. Huffman, Madison Cox and Mendoza then all won in straight sets at #1-3 singles, respectively, and Ferrum accepted a forfeit in the #4 spot to close it out.
