BELMONT, N.C. -- Ferrum College dropped a Conference Carolinas volleyball match tonight on the road, falling 3-0 to Belmont Abbey College. Set scores at the Wheeler Center were 25-21, 25-19, 25-21.

THE BASICS
The first set was tied 10-10 when Belmont Abbey used an 11-5 run to take control, then closed it out on a Renata Bolado kill.Â
The Crusaders led the second set 8-7, then used a 13-8 run to extend the lead to 21-15 and held on down the stretch to take a two sets to love lead in the league match.Â
Ferrum led 10-9 lead in the third and final set, but Belmont Abbey went on a 5-0 run to grab the lead and never trailed from there, with Bolado's kill on match point closing it out.
