Ferrum, VA - History was made at Ferrum College on Wednesday night as the Panthers' women's soccer team secured Ferrum College's first-ever win as an NCAA Division II program, defeating Shaw University 4–0 in front of a spirited home crowd at Penn-Roediger Field.

THE BASICS
Ferrum came out strong and struck early in the 9th minute when
Breanna Herlihy found the back of the net, assisted by
Jessie Howison. Herlihy later returned the favor with a setup for
Macy Taylor's first goal of the match in the 31st minute. Taylor, a constant attacking threat all night, added her second goal in the 63rd minute off an assist from
Anna Milliron, extending Ferrum's lead to 3–0.
The Panthers sealed the victory in the 71st minute when freshman Peyton Fuleron scored her first collegiate goal, assisted by
Summer Stevens.
On the defensive end, senior goalkeeper
Ashli Wuss anchored the back line, playing all 90 minutes and recording the shutout. With contributions from across the roster, the Panthers displayed excellent ball movement and relentless energy—setting the tone for a promising season ahead in their debut year at the Division II level.
