FERRUM, Va. -- Garrett Pancione went 4-5 at the plate with a double, two runs and five RBI to lift Ferrum College to a 12-7 non-conference baseball win over Emory & Henry University this afternoon at Panther Field.

THE BASICS
Ferrum got three runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 3-1 lead. Emory & Henry struck for four runs in third inning, then picked up a run in the fourth to go out in front 6-3. Ferrum pushed two runs across the plate in the bottom of the fourth to trim the lead to 6-4.
The Panthers exploded for five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, including two on Pancione's RBI single to center field, and Ferrum held the lead from there, then added a pair of runs in the seventh inning,
