EMORY, Va. – The Ferrum women's lacrosse team fell 12–5 at Emory & Henry College Wednesday afternoon at the Food City Complex in Emory, Virginia. Lana Barkovic led Ferrum with four goals, while Micaiyah Dickerson added one goal. Noelle LaCharite recorded two assists, and both Dickerson and Caroline Moore also assisted on a goal. Despite a strong effort, Emory & Henry's early lead and control in the draw circle proved decisive, as the Panthers struggled to overcome 12 draw controls by the Wasps compared to seven by Ferrum.

THE BASICS
Emory & Henry struck first with three goals in the opening quarter to take a 3–0 lead. Ferrum answered in the second quarter, with Barkovic scoring twice and Dickerson adding a goal to cut the deficit to 5–2. Barkovic and LaCharite combined for assists to help the Panthers maintain offensive momentum. The third quarter saw Barkovic score two more goals and Dickerson tally her second goal, bringing Ferrum within 9–5. However, the Wasps added three fourth-quarter goals to seal the 12–5 win. Ferrum controlled seven draws on the day while Emory & Henry won 12, giving the hosts extra possessions that proved critical down the stretch.
Barkovic finished with four goals on six shots, while Dickerson added a goal and two assists. LaCharite contributed two assists, and Caroline Moore assisted on one goal. Goalkeeper Ashley Font made six saves for the Panthers, limiting Emory & Henry to 16 shots on goal.
