FERRUM, Va. – The Ferrum Panthers women's lacrosse team fell to the Bridgeport Purple Knights, 20–7, Saturday afternoon at W.B. Adams Stadium. Lana Barkovic and Micaiyah Dickerson each scored twice to lead Ferrum offensively, while Noelle LaCharite, Alaia Beckwith, and Faith Feazell also added goals for the Panthers.

THE BASICS
Bridgeport built an early lead in the opening quarter, scoring five times to take a 5–2 advantage after the first period. Ferrum kept pace early as Beckwith tied the game at 1–1 and Barkovic added another first-quarter goal to keep the Panthers within striking distance. The Purple Knights extended their lead in the second quarter with six goals in the period to carry an 11–5 advantage into halftime. Barkovic scored during a man-down opportunity for Ferrum, while LaCharite converted a free-position chance and Feazell added to the Panther offense in the half. Ferrum continued to compete in the third quarter as Feazell scored early and Dickerson added a man-up goal later in the period to trim the deficit to 13–7. Bridgeport responded with a late goal in the quarter and added six more in the fourth to seal the 20–7 victory.
Dickerson finished with two goals on seven shots, while Barkovic tallied two goals and a team-high 11 shots. Feazell added a goal and an assist, and Caroline Moore recorded an assist for Ferrum. Makaila Veney controlled the draw circle with eight draw controls and added four ground balls. In goal, Ashley Font made five saves for the Panthers.
