FERRUM, Va. --
Levi Englman '24 has stepped down from his position at Ferrum College to accept the Head Wrestling Coach position at Hargrave Military Academy. A two-time All-American for the Panthers, Englman recently completed his third season as Assistant Wrestling Coach and gradually took on more responsibility within the program, most recently serving as Recruiting Coordinator.
Overall, Englman has been part of the Panther wrestling program since August 2018, when he enrolled as a freshman following a stellar high school career at Colonial Forge High School. Englman posted a seventh-place finish for the Panthers at the 2019 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships, hosted by Ferrum, closing the season with a 33-8 record and nine pins.
Englman won three collegiate tournament titles, including two Southeast Wrestling Conference championships and the 2019 NCAA Southeast Regional title. He was also a two-time Virginia High School League state champion at Colonial Forge under legendary coach Bill Swink.
Englman joined the Ferrum Athletics staff as Assistant Men's Wrestling Coach in December 2023 and assumed the additional role of Recruiting Coordinator in May 2026. He was a key member of first-year Head Coach
Blake Roulo's staff during Ferrum's first year of transition from an NCAA Division III program to NCAA Division II.
Englman wrestled five seasons for the Panthers from 2018-23 and ranks third on Ferrum's all-time wins list with 102 career victories and 20 pins. A two-time NCAA qualifier, Englman earned All-America honors as a true freshman in 2019 and again in 2020. During his career, he was ranked No. 1 nationally among NCAA Division III wrestlers. He is one of only three Ferrum wrestlers to hold the nation's top ranking, joining Logan Meister '17 and
Rayshawn Dixon '25.
"I'm super excited to take this role as head coach at Hargrave Military Academy. Wrestling has always played a big role in my life, and I now have the opportunity to help mold the next generation. I would like to thank all my family and friends for their support. Special thanks to Logan Meister,
Blake Roulo, Ryan Riggs, and Nate Yetzer for mentoring me throughout my years here at Ferrum. As a proud alum, IÂ wish Ferrum College and the wrestling program the best as they continue the reclassification to NCAA Division II next year and beyond."Â
Englman will begin his duties at Hargrave Military Academy on July 20.
