FERRUM, Va. -- Vice President for Athletics Cleive Adams has announced the promotion of Matt Wojciechowski to Associate Head Baseball Coach at Ferrum College. Wojciechowski will continue working with Head Coach Eric Owens, who enters his third season at the helm of the Panther baseball program this fall.

Wojciechowski initially joined the Ferrum athletics staff as Assistant Baseball Coach in September 2025. He came to Ferrum from Roanoke College, where he served for two years as Assistant Baseball Coach. He was the Maroons' recruiting coordinator during his final season there in 2024-25.

"Matt has been an outstanding addition to our program from day one," said Owens. "He brings tremendous energy to the field every day, has done an exceptional job building relationships with our student-athletes and recruits, and is someone I trust completely. This promotion is well deserved, and I'm excited to continue building our program alongside him."

A native of Reston, Virginia, Wojciechowski graduated from South Lakes High School in 2015. He attended and played baseball for two years at Chesapeake College on Maryland's Eastern Shore before transferring to Roanoke College, where he played his final two seasons. Wojciechowski earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Roanoke in 2020.

Wojciechowski's promotion becomes effective August 1, 2026.
