Adam Crawford returned to Ferrum as Head Men's Golf Coach in September 2025.

Adam Crawford joined the Ferrum College athletic staff initially as Head Men’s Golf Coach  and Assistant Women's Basketball Coach in the summer of 2010, then rejoined the staff in September 2025.

During his first stint as Ferrum's golf coach from 2010-18, Crawford improved Ferrum over 100 spots in Golfstat national rankings with a consistent ranking between #27 and #50 and had two golfers combine to earn three All-America honors. Ferrum won seven tournaments under Crawford and two of his golfers, Brandon Bailey (2017) and Lance Keiser (2018), qualified for the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships.

Crawford left Ferrum in 2018 to accept the Head Golf Coach position at Guilford College. His 2019 and 2021 teams placed third at the NCAA Tournament, his 2021 and 2023 teams won the Old Dominion Athletic Conference titles and Crawford was named ODAC Coach of the Year in 2021. In his five years at the helm of the program, the Quakers won seven tournament titles in seven medalist honors. One of his golfers, James Mishoe, was ranked #1 in the nation and went on to be named the 2021 Jack Nicklaus NCAA Division III National Player of the Year. 

Crawford left Guilford in 2023 to become General Manager and Head Golf Pro at Great Oaks County Club in nearby Floyd, Virginia. He manages a budget of $875,000 and hosts 25-30 member tournaments per year as well as 10 outside events. Crawford owns and operates the GOCC pro shop, and works closely with the Board of Directors to implement capital improvements.

Crawford played four year for the Panthers from 2004-07, earning Academic All-Conference four times and Academic All-State in 2007. A Floyd native, Crawford prepped at Floyd County High School. He played four years with the Buffalo golf program, helping the team win back-to-back state championships in 2000 and 2001. He also played basketball three years at Floyd County. Crawford and his wife Kayla and their children reside in Floyd.
