CEDAR BLUFF, Virginia -- Ferrum College picked up a non-conference women's tennis win today on the road, beating Southwest Virginia Community College 4-0 this afternoon at SVCC Tennis Courts.

THE BASICS
Today's win was the first for Ferrum Head Coach Noah Hughes, who is in his first season at the helm of the Panther men's and women's tennis programs.

Hannah Huffman and Gabby Mendoza opened the day with a dominating performance at #1 doubles, winning 8-0 over SVCC's Meagan Helton and Angela Kiesel. Madison Cox and Skylar Honeycutt earned a win by forfeit at #2 doubles.

Cox, Huffman and Honeycutt all won in straight sets at #1-3 singles, respectively, while Mendoza earned a forfeit in the #4 spot.
