LYNCHBURG, Virginia -- University of Lynchburg beat Ferrum College today in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's lacrosse action, winning 18-2 over the Panthers this afternoon at Shellenberger Field.

THE BASICS
Lynchburg scored early and often, racing out to a 7-0 lead after one full quarter, then a 12-0 advantage at the five minute mark of the second quarter.
Lana Barkovic broke up the shutout with an unassisted goal for the Panthers three and a half minutes later to make it a 12-1 game at the break.
The Hornets extended the lead to 16-1 after three full quarters then led 18-1 with 3:42 left in the game when Barkovic scored another unassisted goal for the Panthers to close out scoring. Lynchburg finished the game with a 36-6 advantage in shots. Ferrum goalkeeper
Cayden West played all 60 minutes between the pipes, making nine saves.
