WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Stellar play from the Ferrum College women's tennis team led to a 5-2 non-conference win over Trinity University Washington this afternoon on the road.

THE BASICS
The Panthers jumped out to a 1-0 lead after taking both doubles matches that were contested.
Hannah Huffman and
Skylar Honeycutt took out Trinity's Emily Hsieh and Shahara Coy with a clean 6-0 slate. Ferrum's
Madison Cox and
Gabby Mendoza matched that score over the Tigers' Zion Daodu and Kyliah White.
The Panthers then took care of business in singles with Huffman, Honeycutt, Cox and Mendoza all winning in straight sets at #1-4 singles, respectively. Cox got through her match at #3 singles without surrendering a game. Trinity earned two team points by accepting forfeits at #5-6 singles.
