DANVILLE, Virginia – The Ferrum College women's lacrosse team dropped a conference game 14-10 to Averett University. Freshman Lana Barkovic led the Panthers with four goals.

Averett  4-4, 3-4

THE BASICS
Ferrum was down one after the first quarter. However, the Cougars were able to create a little separation in the second when they outscored the Panthers 6-2. Ferrum outscored Averett in the second half. Micaiyah Dickerson scored a goal with just under three minutes to play to cut the Cougar lead to three. Averett won the next draw control and was able to run the clock down and tack on one last goal. Makaila Veney scored three goals and had five caused turnovers.
Cayden West had 15 saves in her 60 minutes in goal.
