Harrisonburg, Virginia – Ferrum College's Track & Field teams wrapped up a strong showing at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships April 25–26, with both the men's and women's teams turning in standout performances featuring personal bests, top-eight finishes, and rising talent. The men's team finished in 8
th place.
Men's Highlights:
- Na-Shawn Greene (SR) soared to 2nd in the long jump (6.88m)—a performance that ranks him #59 in NCAA DIII, earning 8 points. He also ran on the 6th-place 4x400m relay and set a PR in the 400m (50.00).
- Max Madsen (FR) placed 4th in long jump (6.73m), moving into the DIII Top 100, and 10th in high jump (1.80m).
- Jahmal Jones (FR) led the Panthers with a blazing 10.39 in the 100m prelims, finishing first overall and later placing 5th in the finals (10.60), earning 4 points.
- Jones joined Deontae Lawson, Na-Shawn Greene, and Jaidyn Terry on the 4x100m relay, placing 4th overall (41.77) and adding 5 points.
- Deontae Lawson (JR) earned a personal best in the 200m (22.27) for 8th place and 1 point; he also jumped 6.49m in long jump for 8th and another point.
- Jaiden Childress (SO) added 2 points with a 7th-place finish in high jump (1.85m).
- Kyle Holcomb (SO) placed 10th in the hammer (37.14m), and 12th in shot put; he also competed in discus (20th).
- Logan McClung (JR) ran a season-best 1:01.11 in the 400m hurdles, placing 11th.
- Josh Mills (JR) competed in three distance events, posting a 4:26.62 in the 1500m and 2:07.51 in the 800m.
- Darryl Taylor (FR) placed 11th in triple jump (11.11m) and 22nd in long jump.
- The 4x400m relay team of Lawson, McClung, Terry, and Greene ran 3:28.79, finishing 6th overall and contributing 3 more points.
Women's Highlights:
- Airiana Beverley (SR) capped off her Ferrum career with three personal records in the 100m (13.39), 200m (27.55), and 400m (1:05.82). She also placed 11th in high jump and 20th in long jump.
- Lilian Bigger (FR) made a major impact with a 5th-place finish in the javelin (34.19m), earning 4 points for the women's team.
- Emma Kelley (SO) ran personal bests in the 200m (29.73) and 400m (1:09.84), and placed 24th in long jump (4.08m).
Next up is the Division III Outdoor Track National Championship which is being held in Geneva, Ohio May 22-24th.
