FERRUM, Virginia -- The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) named its 2025 Men's Outdoor Track & Field All-State Team and Ferrum had two student-athletes honored.
Senior
Na-Shawn Greene and freshman
Jahmal Jones both earned All-State first team after having stellar spring '25 campaigns. Greene made the VaSID All-State team in jumps, while Jones picked up the honor in sprints.
Greene placed second in the long jump in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in April, earning second team All-ODAC.
Jones qualified for the 2025 NCAA Div. III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 100 meters and the 200 meters. At the national championships, held May 22-24 at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio, he earned second team All-America in both events. Jones is Ferrum's third NCAA qualifier in track & field, the second track & field All-American, and the first to earn All-America in two events.
Greene and Jones are led by Head Coach
Andre Kidd, who just completed his first season at the helm of the Panther track & field and cross country programs.
Ferrum will leave the NCAA Division III ranks and the ODAC this summer, reclassifying as an NCAA Division II institution and competing as a member of Conference Carolinas in all sports starting in Fall 2025.
