Keith Crump had a game-high 18 points as Ferrum College routed visiting Lynchburg College 72-42 in non-conference men's basketball action tonight at home.
Ferrum (6-3) led 38-28 at the break, but broke the game open in the first seven minutes of the second half. The Panthers took a 52-32 lead on
Justin Henderson's jumper with 13:27 remaining in the game.
Derek Mitchell had 15 points and seven rebounds, playing the entire second half with three personal fouls.Â
Marcus Mayo had 12 points to go with six rebounds. With the win, Ferrum improves to 12-0 all time against Lynchburg.
Lynchburg (1-6) was led by Mason Woodbridge's 15 points and game-high 11 rebounds. He was the Hornets' lone double digit scorer. LC was held to under 15% shooting from the floor in the second half.
Ferrum returns to action Saturday, Dec. 20, at Gardner-Webb University. The Panthers will then break for the holidays and return to action Jan. 2-3 at Averett University's Cougar Classic.
