Keith Crump had 25 points and
Derek Mitchell had another double-double to lead the Ferrum College men's basketball team to a 71-63 USA South win over visiting Greensboro College tonight at home.
Crump shot 7-15 from the floor and was a perfect 9-9 from the line to help the Panthers pick up their second league win this season. Mitchell had 16 points to go with 12 rebounds. It was his fourth straight double-double performance and his ninth overall this season.
Marcus Mayo added 12 points in the win.
Greensboro (6-9, 0-3 USA South) was led by Theo Tamini, who had 12 points. Ferrum out-rebounded the Pride 39-35.
Ferrum (9-7, 2-1 USA South) returns to action Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 24-25, with two USA South doubleheaders on the road. Coach Bill Tharp's team will play at Shenandoah University Saturday and at Christopher Newport University Sunday. Both games begin at 4 p.m. following the women's games
