NORFOLK, Va. -- The Ferrum College men's basketball team was held to just 20 first-half points en route to a 105-64 non-conference loss tonight at Virginia Wesleyan College. The Marlins are currently ranked #10 in the nation by D3hoops.com.
Jamal Pullen led Ferrum with 22 points and
Brian Clarke had 17 points. Virginia Wesleyan led 52-20 at halftime. Greg Montgomery had 24 points for the Marlins, DJ Woodmore had 19 points, Khory Moore had 15 points off the bench and Cedric Nady had 11 points.
Ferrum (3-6) returns to action Friday and Saturday, Jan. 3-4, with a pair of USA South Athletic Conference games on the road. Coach Bill Tharp's team will be at league newcomer Covenant College Jan. 3 in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, at 7:30 p.m. The Panthers will then travel to Maryville, Tennessee, Jan. 4 for a 4:00 p.m. game at Maryville College.
