Jamal Pullen had 21 points on 8-15 shooting, but Ferrum College lost 59-53 in non-conference men's basketball action to Randolph College this afternoon on the road.
Corey Brown led Randolph (3-1) with 18 points and Zach Desgain added 10 points and seven rebounds.
Rashawn Speas had 12 points and seven rebounds, while
Alek Ayer chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds for Ferrum. The Panthers trailed 29-23 at the break and were 0-14 from behind the three-point line.
The Panthers took a 53-51 lead with 2:45 remaining in regulation on
Jamal Pullen's layup, but the Wildcats closed with an 8-0 run to finish the game. Ferrum (3-3) return to action Wednesday, Dec. 3, at home against Emory & Henry College. The non-conference game tips off at 7:00 p.m. at Swartz Gym.
