FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College's men's basketball team picked up a 70-57 non-conference win over Shenandoah University this afternoon at Swartz Gym. The Panthers led 37-26 at the break, then widened the lead to 17 points in the second half before holding on for the win.

How It Happened
Darren Major's jumper at 5:09 of the second half gave Ferrum it's largest lead at 62-45. Shenandoah would not go quietly, using a 10-3 run over the next three minutes to cut the lead to 10 points at 65-55.
Josh Dudley converted a pair of free throws with 2:03 showing on the clock, then
Marvin Wilson drilled a three-pointer with one minute left to close things out. Wilson led all scorers with 20 points.
KeAndre' Robinson had his second double-double this season with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Home for the Holidays
Coach Bill Tharp's team will break for the holidays, then return for a January 3 home game against Maryville College. The USA South opener for both teams is set to tip off at 3:00 p.m. at Swartz Gym.
