Senior Day '16 CeremonyFERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College's men's basketball team pulled out a thrilling 62-61 USA South overtime win over Averett University this afternoon at Swartz Gym. The Panthers trailed by four points with 15 seconds left in regulation but rallied to tie the game and eventually win in OT.

How It HappenedMarvin Wilson's layup with less than 10 seconds remaining in regulation sent the game into overtime tied at 56-56. Ferrum trailed 61-60 with seven seconds left in overtime when
Rashawn Speas, playing in his final home game, was fouled and knocked down a pair of free throws to give the Panthers the come-from-behind win. Prior to the game, the College held a brief Senior Day ceremony form graduating seniors Wilson, Speas and
Alek Ayer.
