DANVILLE, Va. -- The Ferrum College men's basketball team dropped a USA South game tonight to Averett University, falling 71-58 at the Grant Center.

THE BASICS
Averett led 31-30 at halftime, but opened the second half with a 25-13 run to grab a 13-point lead and never trailed from there in picking up the USA South win. The Cougars would eventually widen the lead to 15 points with less than a minute to play.
