FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Ferrum College dropped a USA South men's basketball game this afternoon at Methodist University, falling 81-79 in overtime at the Riddle Center.

THE BASICS
Rae Hall sank a pair of free throws with nine seconds left in overtime to break a 79-79 deadlock and give Methodist the league win. Ferrum led 71-67 with 1:03 left in regulation after
Rashad Reed made one of two free throws. Hall was fouled with 55 seconds left and converted two free throws to cut the lead to two points. Ferrum missed a three-pointer at the other end of the floor with 27 seconds left, then Jaskson Whitley tied the game on a dunk with 12 seconds remaining. Methodist ruled the glass, out-rebounding Ferrum 47-27.
