COACH'S THOUGHTS
"We just didn't play with the energy or toughness to win today," said Coach Tyler Sanborn. "We came out flat and that set the tone for the rest of the game. Offensively we didn't play with the same cohesiveness and fluidness that we did before the break, which resulted in bad shots. Defensively, we played well enough to win, but couldn't close out possessions with rebounds. We gave them too many free possessions with offensive rebounds and turnovers, it's hard to win games doing that. Hopefully we can refocus in the next couple of days, get
Rashad Reed and
Josh Dudley healthy and be ready to start the heart of our conference schedule."
NEXT GAME
Sanborn's team will be back in action Wednesday, Jan. 3, at home against Pfeiffer University. The non-conference game is scheduled to get underway at 7:30 p.m. following the Panther women's game against USA South opponent William Peace University.
