WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Ferrum College men's basketball team traveled to Catholic University, falling 67-52 in non-conference action tonight at Fran Murray Court.

THE BASICS
Trey Barnhardt's three-pointer at 10:23 of the first half put Ferrum out in front 15-12. The Cardinals responded with a 13-4 run over the next eight minutes to take a 23-19 lead with three minutes left in the first half. The Panthers battled back and took a 27-26 lead on Marcus Huff's free throw with six seconds left, but Catholic's Will Turgeon drilled a three-pointer with one second left for a 29-27 lead at the break.

Catholic used an 17-0 run to open the second half, including seven points from leading scorer Jimmy Golaszewski, and the Panthers never recovered.

"We just didn't have it tonight. We could never find any rhythm offensively, which led to a lackluster defense. Their constant switching defenses kept us off balance and we handled it poorly.
