FERRUM, Va. -- The Ferrum College men's basketball team posted a USA South Athletic Conference win tonight at home over Greensboro College, winning 83-62 at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
Ferrum led 4-0 to open the game, then widened the margin to 15-7 on a pair of
Marcus Huff free throws at the 14:45 mark. Greensboro chipped away at the lead and eventually tied the game at 22-22 when Cornelius Johnson sank a free throw with 8:57 left in the first half. The Panthers took a 37-34 lead into the break, then opened the second half with a 17-4 run to take control of the game. Ferrum out-rebounded the Pride 36-25.

"Great team effort tonight from our guys," said Head Coach Tyler Sanborn. "They stuck to the game plan and executed well on both sides of the ball. We really focused on the details of what we do, which in return helped us to the win. I am really proud of the way that everyone did their part, from the top to bottom."

Sanborn's team will close out regular season play Saturday, Feb. 17, at Methodist University. The USA South game is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
