The Panthers started the game on a 9-1 run as Darius Kemp found the bottom of the net off the glass with 17:57 to play in the opening stanza. The WildCats would then answer right back with a 10-0 run spanning the next 3:00+ to take the 11-9 advantage. The rest of the half would be played back and forth, with neither team able to take any type of advantage through the first 20:00 as the score would read 39-39 heading into the halftime break.

Neither team was able to create any type of separation in the second half either, as the largest lead up until the 3:00 mark was five. A Kemp jumper with 16:45 to play gave the Panthers the 46-41 lead, but the WildCats would again answer. Foul trouble plagued the Panthers down the stretch, allowing Randolph to outlast Ferrum in the final five minutes. The WildCats were able to outscore Ferrum 19-4 in that final five minutes.
