GREENSBORO, North Carolina -- Guilford College outscored Ferrum College by 10 and 12 points in the first and second halves, respectively, in tonight's 91-73 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's basketball win at Ragan-Brown Field House.

THE BASICS
Ferrum opened a 6-2 early lead on three-pointers by James Smith Jr. and Jamar Butler. Guilford rallied to make it a 9-9 game at the 15:57 mark, then used a 7-0 min-run over the next three and half minutes to go out in front 16-9.

Luke Proctor's three-pointer at 6:41 extended the Guilford lead to 12 points at 33-21. Butler's three-pointer off a Bryce Hall pass with 50 seconds left in the first half trimmed the lead to 10 points at the break, 46-36. Butler would later close the game with a career-high 21 points to lead all scorers.

Davis Jorden sank a pair of free throws two minutes into the second half to push the Guilford lead to 55-41. The Quakers would eventually open a 27-point lead on Liam Ward's jumper with just over eight minutes left to play to make it 80-53, and were never threatened down the stretch.
