Ferrum Women Close Out Day Two at ODAC Championships

RESULTS

GLEN ALLEN, Virginia -- Second round play at the 2022 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women's Golf Championship finished this afternoon at the par 72, 5678-yard Dominion Club.

THE BASICS
Washington and Lee University leads the team race in the three-day championship with a 609 through the first two days, 17 strokes in front of second place University of Lynchburg (626).

Sophia Martone of Bridgewater College leads the field at 145, three strokes better than Lynchburg's Emily Brubaker (148). The Generals' Megan Kanaby (150), Marcella Mercer (151) and An Shelmire (153) round out the top five individuals.

FERRUM TRIO
Ferrum's Hunter Tharpe (160) is tied for 10th in a field of 33 golfers. Jiwanan Masoot (176) is in 20th place and Caroline King (185) is tied for 22nd. During Sunday's opening round, Tharpe posted a career low 18-hole score of 78, while King carded her first career eagle on the par 5 fourth hole.

CLOSING IT OUT
The third and final round of the 2022 ODAC Women's Golf Championship will begin Tuesday morning, April 26. King and Masoot tee if up at 8:00 a.m., while Tharpe is scheduled to tee off at 8:09 a.m.
