LYNCHBURG, VA – The Ferrum College Track & Field teams delivered impressive performances at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic, with numerous athletes setting personal bests, season bests, and top finishes across a variety of events.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Jordan Smith (Fr) ran a strong 22.30 in the 200m, placing 11th overall.
- Max Madsen (Fr) clocked 11.26 in the 100m (PR) and posted a 6.16m (20-02.50) in the long jump.
- Na-Shawn Greene (Sr) leapt 6.45m (21-02.00) in the long jump and contributed to the 4x100m relay (43.60) and 4x400m relay (3:26.66), both of which earned top finishes.
- Deontae Lawson (Jr) set a season best of 5.96m in the long jump and ran 23.06 in the 200m.
- Logan McClung (Jr) ran a season-best 1:02.04 in the 400m hurdles and helped his relay team post strong times.
- Josh Mills (Jr) set a PR of 4:24.16 in the 1500m and ran 2:08.81 in the 800m.
- Greyson Crouch (Sr) earned a PR of 12:16.19 in the 3000m steeplechase.
- Kyle Holcomb (So) recorded 11.89m (39-00.25) in the shot put and 37.38m (122-07) in the hammer throw.
- Jaylon Hillman (Jr) threw 24.05m (78-11) in the discus and 21.86m (71-08) in the hammer throw.
- Men's 4x100m Relay 'A' Team (McClung, Terry, Greene, Smith) finished with a time of 43.60.
- Men's 4x400m Relay 'A' Team (Greene, McClung, Lawson, Smith) posted a season-best 3:26.66, now ranked #94 in DIII nationally.
- Men's 4x400m Relay 'B' Team (Mills, Taylor, Crouch, Childress) ran 3:50.05, also a season best.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Airiana Beverley (Sr) set a personal best of 1.35m (4-05.00) in the high jump and ran 13.59 in the 100m.
- Emma Kelley (So) posted 14.61 in the 100m and 4.09m (13-05.00) in the long jump.
- Sara Rah (Jr) threw a personal best of 7.07m (23-02.50) in the shot put.
- Hannah Parks (So) ran 16.95 in the 100m and 1:14.55 in the 400m.
