FARMVILLE, Virginia -- Ferrum College's men's cross country team opened the 2024 season today at the Lancer Home Open, hosted by Longwood University at Longwood Golf Course.

THE BASICS
Longwood swept the team title with seven runners placing in the top 10, while Virginia Union University's Franklin Kipchirchir finished first individually. Randolph College's Tanner Cochran was second, and three Longwood runners rounded out the top five.
FERRUM
Josh Mills led the way for the Panthers, finishing 32nd in a field of 63 runners.
Kayden Ryder was Ferrum's next highest runner, finishing 40th, while
Jaiden Childress was third in 50th place.
NEXT UP
Coach Andre Kidd's team will be back in action Saturday, September 14, at the Pfeiffer Invitational in Misenheimer, North Carolina.
